Finally got around to finishing one of the two books I am reading, with three more lined up and one on order, I am so busy....I have not been reading enough to  keep up...you  know how that is with the i phone taking all my time....so this week, I slow down the i phone and start up reading more...
 my
The review is from Amazon book reviews, I did not get into the many interesting interviews for opinions, as there are at least 400 others who have done that, rather I give you my experience.

4.0 out of 5 stars thoughtful, helpful, entertaining,January 19, 2015
This review is from: Why Does the World Exist?: An Existential Detective Story (Paperback)
The different views presented here, helped to solidify what I believe, and I think that is the major reason for enjoying this book, to learn other opinions and ideas and expand your own thinking. A funny thing happened as I read the book, I recalled a scene in my philosophy class, I could see my professor of many years ago, who said in the class...."matter is not real, it is consciousness that makes it real, you better believe it is real" This thought kept crossing my mind as I read this book and then one day as telling my 9 year old grand daughter stories of my youth, I ran out of stories ...and I said to her
"Did you know that matter is not real, it is created by consciousness?"
"Wow, Nannie!" was the response.
I had to laugh about that for a long time, and ponder how to tell children that the world is a creation of consciousness, so that they can use the tool to help us make a better world...If in fact, it is a world created by consciousness, as I believe it is.  I think  learning to express love is the major reason for consciousness, along with other emotions of goodness, and to do that we have to have an antagonist...need I say more?

So, for the lay reader, it took a couple of weeks to go back and forth finding time to read and finish the book, though I was reading two books at the time, it was interesting enough to pick this one to finish first. The other book I am reading and close to finish is, "Thank You For Arguing" surprising how easy it is to win an election based on knowing the points in this book, more to come..
